Laser Hair Reduction

Before the procedure, a consultation is necessary to determine the suitability of the treatment based on skin type, hair color, and medical history.  Laser hair reduction is most effective on individuals with light skin and dark hair, as the laser targets the pigment in the hair. The areas should be shaved a day or two before the session before treatment. You must avoid waxing or plucking the hair, as the hair follicle needs to be intact for the laser to work effectively. 

Patients may feel slight discomfort during treatment, but this is generally well-tolerated. We use an IPL laser, which delivers a pulse in a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs simultaneously. Small areas like the upper lip can be treated in minutes, while larger areas like the back or legs may take up to an hour. Redness and swelling are expected immediately after the procedure but typically subside within a few hours.

Multiple sessions are usually required to achieve optimal results, as hair grows in different cycles, and the laser is only effective on actively growing hair.  Most patients experience permanent hair loss after an average of  6-9 sessions. It significantly improves over traditional hair removal methods like shaving, waxing, and plucking.
